The WA Labor Rules 2023 (passed at State Conference in November 2023), govern the way our Party and Party Members operate.

The new rules contain some big changes from previous version, which include:

• Charter of member rights and responsibilities
• New policy development process (WA Policy Forum)
• Digital meeting provisions
• Changes to minimum branch numbers
• Changes to branch meeting requirements
• New Federal Electorate Council structure (replacing previous FECC structure)
• Party preselection changes – Legislative Council

We’ve produced a number of Fact Sheets to help Party Units understand their obligations under the WA Labor Rules 2023.
