Wally Hagan Basketball Stadium has served Cockburn families for almost 50 years, but anyone who uses it knows it badly needs an upgrade.

The State Labor Government has committed $20 million towards redeveloping the stadium, including new courts, more parking, and better player and spectator facilities.

Now the City of Cockburn needs to decide whether to back the project and help make it happen.

On Tuesday night, councillors will vote on whether to proceed with the redevelopment and commit the additional funding needed.
